    • The Voice of India second runner up Simran Choudhary releases her latest single 'Meherbaniyan'

MUMBAI: The Voice of India second runner-up Simran Choudhary releases her latest single Meherbaniyan. The song is beautifully shot in the exotic forest locations of Dehradun by Ace Director Varun Prabhudayal Gupta. The music video features Bigg Boss Fame Sara Gurpal in a never seen before avatar. Watch video here Speaking about the song, Simran says, "Meherbaniyan is a song that has my life into it. It's a song that describes two sides of a coin - love and betrayal. Since it's Label Amplify's comeback, it becomes all the more special. And I'm so happy to have such positive souls like Ankur Gupta Ji and Varun Prabhudayal Gupta Ji around who believed in my music. Varun Prabhudayal Gupta Ji has directed the video incredibly that it's a treat for viewers. Youngveer's pearls of words brought this immensely beautiful composition by Goldboy. All of us have made this with our heart and soul and I'm sure the listener would feel the emotion in it." Talking about the shoot, the young singer says, "I have to say that I experienced what actresses go through when they shoot in cold temperatures. It was -4degrees and I was wearing a gown sitting in the bathtub, middle of the forest. Been such a challenge yet I'm proud we could pull this off. The team energy really helps in this case. The way they motivated and supported me gave me all the strength. I remember how while shooting a take, all of us got emotional listening to the song and Varun Prabhudayal Gupta Ji came hugged me. Every single eye on the set was emotional. That was one moment I realized how the soul of the song is able to connect with a listener. The shots look surreal because Dehradun is so beautiful and the places we shot in were breathtaking views." The song is released under the label Amplify headed by Varun Prabhudayal Gupta. This song also marks a relaunch of the dedicated Independent music label ‘Amplify’. In the past, the label has supported new indie artists across the globe, being amongst the first such label in the country to do so, they have worked with are Richa Sharma, Hariharan, Jaspinder Narula, Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Malini Awasthi and other prominent artists. This song marks yet another collaboration between famous ad filmmaker and director Varun Prabhudayal Gupta (who curated 'Guzar Jayega' with Amitabh Bachchan and 115 + artists and directed Zaroorat ft Sonakshi Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha), and singer Simran Choudhary who was involved in the said projects.

    • BACARDÍ Sessions’ Track 'Nach Le' featuring Vidya Vox and winners out!

MUMBAI: BACARDÍ Sessions has launched its latest track ‘Nach Le’ shortly after this season’s mentors, Vidya Vox and Nucleya, announced the winners last month. This track was made in collaboration with the YouTube phenomenon, known for her mashups and mentor, Vidya Vox, and the winners Trichia Grace-Ann and Shrey Jadav. It was dropped on Spotify and then subsequently on YouTube over the weekend. Dedicated to all the “Desi baddies”, it’s a power song for all women. It beautifully tries to capture the moment when women finally take a break from making everyone else happy and prioritize themselves, letting their hair down, doing what moves them, and dancing like nobody’s watching. The vibe and the groove of the song make it difficult to sit still. Speaking of the song-making process and BACARDÍ Sessions, Vidya Vox said, “It was really fun! It felt like a party vibe from the get-go. Trichia and Shrey, too, felt the vibe immediately and it was one of the exciting collaborations we’ve ever done! Trichia had a feistiness and a Desi baddie attitude in her entry which we thought was so different from the rest. We also loved Shrey’s vocal quality, as well as the soulfulness in his renditions. He was so unique that we had to choose him as well! All the BACARDÍ Sessions entries were phenomenal and yet another testimony to the vast talent in the country. It’s amazing how it provides a platform for upcoming artists to do what moves them, and it was fun jamming with the winners. I’m so excited it is out for everyone to listen to. Hope we can all dance to it at a party soon.” Excited about the win and the first song, Trichia Grace-Ann said, “The song came together super smoothly! My beats being liked by Vidya on the spot was an accomplished feeling for me. I’m grateful to BACARDÍ Sessions for the opportunity. It’s a great platform for artists to explore their individuality and express themselves. It also helps prepare them for a major audience and that in itself is such a big thing, especially for local and upcoming artists like me who have wanted this their whole life. And I love the outcome. It’s a song that all age groups can vibe to!” Shrey Jadav, winner for this season said, “This song has brought some chill and fun vibes alive, and given the year 2020, think we all needed to let our hair down and just do what moves us. It’s super fun and empowering, and makes you want to nod your head and groove to it. This opportunity by BACARDÍ Sessions is really cool and provides a platform for artists which is commendable. Not every emerging artist gets to work with the likes of Vidya Vox and that can be a game-changer in one's career.” On the new track and journey of BACARDÍ Sessions Season 4 so far, Sameeksha Uniyal, Consumer Marketing Lead, Brand BACARDÍ, India & South-east Asia said, “BACARDÍ Sessions is all about enabling upcoming artists with breakthrough opportunities, encouraging audiences to do what moves them and discovering new artists and unique sounds each season. The initial reactions to the song have been amazing. It was awesome to see the collaborative song-making process between Vidya and the winners, Shrey and Trichia. It’s already on loop for me, can’t wait for it to light up all the parties soon!” BACARDÍ Sessions was launched as part of BACARDÍ’s commitment to the world of music, by mentoring up-and-coming musical talent in the country. Eventually, transforming to BACARDÍ Sessions, it became a platform for dance and art too this year with Season 4. This property brings together India’s happiest music festival – Bacardi NH7 Weekender, legendary artists, and the most loved online entertainment channel- YouTube to facilitate a platform where artists can showcase their talent to realize their potential. Over the years, BACARDÍ Sessions has garnered an overwhelming response in the entries, as well as for the music tracks. Tune in to “Nach le” on YouTube lyric video and Spotify. Nach Le’s audio and lyric drop will be followed by the official video of the song that has more interesting elements for audiences to look forward to and engage with.
