MUMBAI: The Voice of India second runner-up Simran Choudhary releases her latest single Meherbaniyan. The song is beautifully shot in the exotic forest locations of Dehradun by Ace Director Varun Prabhudayal Gupta. The music video features Bigg Boss Fame Sara Gurpal in a never seen before avatar. Watch video here Speaking about the song, Simran says, "Meherbaniyan is a song that has my life into it. It's a song that describes two sides of a coin - love and betrayal. Since it's Label Amplify's comeback, it becomes all the more special. And I'm so happy to have such positive souls like Ankur Gupta Ji and Varun Prabhudayal Gupta Ji around who believed in my music. Varun Prabhudayal Gupta Ji has directed the video incredibly that it's a treat for viewers. Youngveer's pearls of words brought this immensely beautiful composition by Goldboy. All of us have made this with our heart and soul and I'm sure the listener would feel the emotion in it." Talking about the shoot, the young singer says, "I have to say that I experienced what actresses go through when they shoot in cold temperatures. It was -4degrees and I was wearing a gown sitting in the bathtub, middle of the forest. Been such a challenge yet I'm proud we could pull this off. The team energy really helps in this case. The way they motivated and supported me gave me all the strength. I remember how while shooting a take, all of us got emotional listening to the song and Varun Prabhudayal Gupta Ji came hugged me. Every single eye on the set was emotional. That was one moment I realized how the soul of the song is able to connect with a listener. The shots look surreal because Dehradun is so beautiful and the places we shot in were breathtaking views." The song is released under the label Amplify headed by Varun Prabhudayal Gupta. This song also marks a relaunch of the dedicated Independent music label ‘Amplify’. In the past, the label has supported new indie artists across the globe, being amongst the first such label in the country to do so, they have worked with are Richa Sharma, Hariharan, Jaspinder Narula, Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Malini Awasthi and other prominent artists. This song marks yet another collaboration between famous ad filmmaker and director Varun Prabhudayal Gupta (who curated 'Guzar Jayega' with Amitabh Bachchan and 115 + artists and directed Zaroorat ft Sonakshi Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha), and singer Simran Choudhary who was involved in the said projects.

It was dropped on Spotify and then subsequently on YouTube over the weekend. Dedicated to all the “Desi baddies”, it’s a power song for all women. It beautifully tries to capture the moment when women finally take a break from making everyone else happy and prioritize themselves, letting their hair down, doing what moves them, and dancing like nobody’s watching. The vibe and the groove of the song make it difficult to sit still. Speaking of the song-making process and BACARDÍ Sessions, Vidya Vox said, “It was really fun!
