MUMBAI: Bajirao Mastani fame lyricist Prashant Ingole has been sharing poems on the ongoing corona pandemic, nature and giving a message to people not taking staying at home seriously. Ingole will soon commence lyrics classes during the lockdown for a cause.
The lyricist will be donating the entire course fee to the needy affected by the coronavirus outbreak. He is in plans to collaborate with brands like D-Mart, Big Bazaar, etc., for the same.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Music Beat, Prashant Ingole told, “I want to teach lyrics to generate some money for the under-privileged people, police and the medical staff for their PPA kits. For this, I am in plans to tie up with brands like DMart, Big Bazaar, or some PPA kit manufacturers, start-ups, etc."
"I don’t want to take the money and then route it, which most of the NGOs and eventually only 65% of the money actually reaches the needy people. But, I want to give 100% of the money to the needy. Hence, I want to collaborate with the vendors first and then identify the people who need it. The students who will enroll for the course will have to deposit the course fee directly into the accounts of say DMart or Big Bazaar or others. Thus, the products will reach the needy people,” further added the Malaal lyricist, who has not only created a name for himself in Bollywood but also in the Marathi film industry and the world of web series.
Well, that’s indeed an apt plan made by the Mary Kom lyricist to serve those in need during the corona pandemic that has shaken the world with global casualties rising with every passing day. We wish Prashant good luck in his noteworthy cause!
